Story: A friend of ours, Ms. Alba Trejo, lives on 510 Farmington Place in Terrytown (near Terrytown Parkway). We have been in phone contact. They sounded quite desparate.
They say they go out and wave to the helicopters, but they do not react. They are together with 7 other families. One women is *very*pregnant. She is due on Sept 12. A 4-year old boy and many others have severe heat rash. They have food for 1 more day and water for 1 more day. They need food and water. They need to get out of the heat. They need medication. They are worried that the pregnant woman may give birth to the baby soon.
PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THE PEOPLE ON THE WESTBANK!96 year old woman needs rescue Uptown

[email protected]Subject: My Hurricane Story -- 96 year old woman needs rescue Uptown
Story: My elderly aunt, who lives alone, is stranded in her home at 806 Fourth Street (between the intersections of Laurel and Annunciation) in Uptown New Orleans. She is still reachable by phone at (504) 891-7909, but as of this morning has become increasingly disoriented as her food and water supply dwindles.
She is packed and ready for rescuers to arrive.
We have called rescue #'s repeatedly, getting through once on Tuesday to report her need, and posted her need online at the Coast Guard site. Hopefully, our pleas will be heard, or someone will see this and assist her.Disabled woman needs rescue from Coliseum

Story: Disabled woman with multiple mylomia at 1343 Coliseum. She is extraordinarily intelligent and has been doing a good job of coping, but needs rescue now. Does NOT want to go to Oshner, but to Baton Rouge. Is phobic about it. Please, please, please could someone go get her! She may come across as angry and hostile, but is really a nice person. Just be patient, please.
