NPR on Arnold's campaign yesterday (recap)
http://www.npr.org/

Nothing on their site just yet, I heard this just a few minutes ago.

What should have been a glorious day...........

Arnold's big blue bus is dubbed "The Runningman" and the buses that carry the press entourage are called (ready for this) the "Predators".

At his first event of course he issued his apology as well as seemingly threatening every woman in California to a fight (my joke)

"When I am governor I want to prove to the women that I will be a champion for the women, a champion of the women"

The curtan came down to reveal the bigbluebus and off Arnold went. A young female supporter of Arnold had this to say about the LA Times story, "It was like 30 years ago. He is a movie star. Come on!"

At the next stop some guy named Hugh something or other who NPR said is a "shock jock" fired up the rally with, "DO YOU READ THE LA TIMES?"
The crowd proudly cried out "NO!!!!". So much for Pickle's literacy campaign I guess. Arnold then came out and decried Gray Davi's car tax, "In the movies when they is something I don't like do you know what I do? I DESTROY IT!!!!" He then pulled a lever and dropped a wrecking ball on an old Oldsmobile dubbed "Davis's car tax".

Arnold then went to a public elementary school were ALL of the children were dressed in t-shirts with the name and logo of the after school program he championed (he seems to champion a lot of things). The CNN pool reporter again asked about the LA TImes story and Arnold said he didn't remember.

Then his pro-Hitler stance broke and again he begged stupidity.

A second NPR report said that Arnold, ever the champion of not only women but also not bowing to special interests, actually had raised $17 million 9.5 of which was his money. The other 7.5 comes from many sources but primarily real estate developers and those "with interests in the decisions of the California Coastal Commission" which oversees environmental issues and development.

Of the money Arnold "gave" to his campaign $4.5 million is a loan which he can repaid for from.....................you guessed it special interests and he doesn't have to tell who gave him the money until AFTER the election.
