Why is death meaningless to Bush?
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 05:32 PM by nini
Seriously..

Huge numbers of dead people doesn't get a bigger reaction than reading a kiddie book or playing a guitar?

What kind of mind doesn't feel sickened on some level? He shows no signs of compassion or feeling when all this devastation is occuring.

He had no problem executing Texas inmates.

He had no problem reading while 3000 Amercans perished in NY

He has sent over 1800 US troops to their deaths in Iraq and God knows how many Iraqis and he never says the death there is getting to him.

He allows how many innocent, poor and disabled people in New Orleans just sit around for 5 days dying, with many more to follow, and it doesn't eat him alive to see the devastation????

This is NOT normal human reactions to death and tragedy. Does he not realize death is DEATH? There's no coming back to try again.

What kind of monster does this shit?

12. Or is that sociopath?
Either way, no remorse, no empathy, no feeling at all for anything other than himself and how things affect him. Reminds me of the old Al Franken bits on SNL years and years ago.

5. If you have a mother who states publicly that she doesn't waste
her beautiful mind on such things as body bags, well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

8. He's a twisted form of a Christian
who believes in an afterlife, making earth-based suffering acceptable. As an atheist, this kind of ignorance is enfuriating.

10. Truth be known, Bush does NOT believe that shit...
any more than you or I do. He just ACTS like he believes he. And he's a worse actor than Reagan.

11. It has something to do with the death of his sister.
And the way his parents handled it with him. It caused a deep psychological scar.

17. Agreed, the day after his sister died his parents went out and played
some golf. If memory serves he was not told she was even sick or in the hospital till after she was dead. Seems like , if parents that love you don't care about losing their own child, why care about strangers.

15. LBJ agonized for hours in private over Vietnam deaths
It was one of the factors that made him decide not to run.

FDR, Woodrow Wilson and other presidents during times of great loss of life were at least somber and respectful. And even Richard Nixon recognized that American deaths were one thing the public couldn't stand, especially for dubious or abstract purposes.

Now the man in the WH cheerily sends troops to their doom and mouths empty platitudes about freedom and liberty without bothering to explain the connection.

Is he a psychopath? Probably not in the clinical sense but he certainly does not have the right temperament to be making these serious decisions.

16. It's not meaningless to him - he loves it.
He gets off on people suffering and dying - it's a part of his psychopath makeup.
