1. So I guess George...
...will get credit for this. He saved all those people in New Orleans today too. Did the oil companies cover his ass with distraction about high prices? Most people here in W TX were talking about gas prices in the beginning than Katrina.

2. Excellent news... gas shortages reported in Cincinnati, just north of you

Haven't seen prices drop a dime, here. Talks of rationing.

Local news freaking out.

I will give Big Ups to Channel 5, WLWT in Cincinnati, for raising money starting WEDNESDAY. They've raised $500K so far, and I support their efforts.

My restaurant called them today and volunteered our staff to man their phones. They said, "Thank you so much, but we have so many volunteers and I think we'll be ok."

3. We had a minor drop overnight here in Iowa,
from $2.99 to $2.88, but when I went out just after lunchtime, it was back up a little bit to $2.91.

5. DOH! I filled up a few days ago when it was still $2.48
Still above 3/4 tank as I've greatly curtailed my driving.

6. Dallas: $2.99 at 8:30 am....$3.09 at 2:30 pm (regular gas)
Relative in Tulsa says it is going up 5-10 cents every 2-3 HOURS!
