I live in Houston and am watching what's going on:
it appears the Dome is full up. There are a lot of places for other people to go, but abc13 is stating it's inadequate; head shed reporter just asked who is in charge? It's not pretty; perhaps one person died on a bus.

5. they can't do that . . . it would be absolutely unlivable . . .
there are already five or six thousand on the field, and it's already cramped . . . filling that stadium and expecting anything but chaos is madness . . . people would go stir crazy within days . . . what they have now is about the max they can do there without causing yet another catastrophe . . .

4. thousands of people
all over the country have offered rooms at
hurricanehousing.com

I have seen *nothing* about it on the corporate owned media.

I also saw where they aren't letting people in with supplies or letting people leave NOLA.

WTF is going on???????

6. Maybe some of us here at DU need to storm the media about
hurricanehousing.com!!!

Seriously, we all want to help somehow--wouldn't it be infinitely more helpful to get some of the people to clean, safe homes that are willing to take them in, even if just for a little while?
