I heard a chilling message on NOLA Police radio tonight

It appears the channel is dead now, but I heard some conversation saying that a large shipment of ammo had arrived and needed police escort. A minute or two later, someone mentioned about how the troops are geting rested for the mission tomorrow.

I fear what is about to happen. God bless the innocents.

I am amazed at how cavalier people are here about the lawlessness there right now. NO ONE can get any help until they calm the situation. It is always procedure to show a major force in situations like these to stop the crime immediately. If people here think that rescue workers will continue to work while being threatened with gun, they are naive.

I lived there for 6 years. I know the lay of the land where projects are next to more wealthy neighborhoods. This hurricane has been the great equilizer.

I just hope that when the bullets start flying, that innocent people are not killed. And I also know that many of the poor who have been surviving in this hell LITERALLY HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.
