Fats Domino missing since Monday.
Domino, 76, lives with his wife Rosemary and daughter in a three-story pink-roofed house in New Orleans’ 9th ward, which is now under water.

On Monday afternoon, Domino told his manager, Al Embry of Nashville, that he would “ride out the storm” at home. Embry is now frantic.

Calls have been made to Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco’s office and to various police officials, and though there’s lots of sympathetic response, the whereabouts of Domino and his family remain a mystery.

2. Prayers for Fats Domino
Prayers for Antoinne "Fats" Domino and his family, friends and neighbors.

Hope he doesn't have to remake his classic "Walkin' to New Orleans" to "Swimming from New Orleans."

3. also missing:
Irma Thomas
Antoinette K-Doe (Ernie's widow)
various Nevilles

Allen Toussaint is at the Dome. Allen Toussaint who I used to see tooling around NO in his gold Rolls Royce.

I lived in NO in the 80s and was quite active in and on the music scene. This is breaking my heart. I listened to Volume 2 of Rhino's New Orleans classics this morning on my way to work. Had to turn it off at Irma's "It's Raining", or start weeping openly.
