Remember how drilling in ANWR was going to help reduce dependency on the Middle East? What if a massive blizzard knocks out the drills up there like Katrina wiped out the pipelines in the Gulf?

It should be clear even to a retard like Mr. Bush that the time for serious alternative fuel/high efficiency research is now.
