Weather Channel - Next hurricane will be " Lee". We're sure to meet.
Three tropical depressions are now coming off the coast of Africa. Meteorologists are still watching #13.

This could be a terrible weather year.

1. Prophetic? Barbara Lee's resolution of inquiry is gaining steam;
let's hope it tears through Congress with the force of her namesake hurricane.

3. It's doubtful the rest of the world will weep for us...
... and frankly, Bushler doesn't give a damn esp. if they hit primarily Democratic voting districts.

4. Most of the areas they hit are Repuke dominated.
LA is the exception.

5. Actually, the rest of the world will weep for us
As many of them have been weeping for five years. They will also send aid, which will shame any number of us but no one in the corrupt Bush administration.

13. Yep
We'll see aid and assistance from Great Britain, France and Germany, as well as the Netherlands, Belgium, and most of the rest of "old" Europe. We'll also see people and aid coming in from a lot of Latin American countries, Africa, and probably the bulk of assistance will come from our great and good friends in Canada.

Some things transcend politics, and even though our political situation in the U.S. has pretty much given the middle finger to the rest of the world for the last few years, people all over the world respond to natural disasters. It's not just an American trait; we are justifiably proud of our people's response to events such as the Christmas tsunami in south Asia, but we don't have a corner on such compassion.

8. Hurricane season may start extending into November or later.
As the oceans waters heat up, this is a real possibility, at least in my semi-informed opinion :D.

7. Tropical Depression 13 is no more.
However it could regenerate and cause a threat to Bermuda.

--------------

http://www.weatherunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/show.html

"Tropical Depression 13 dissipated yesterday, but is being watched for signs of regeneration. If it does regenerate, this system is probably only a threat to Bermuda. Another area of concern is a strong tropical low pressure area midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles Islands. This low has a large ciculation and a small amount of deep convection trying to build over it. The low has some modest wind shear it is fighting, but the real impediment to its development is a very large area of dry, dust-laden air surrounding it. The dry air will probably keep the low from developing into a depression today. If the low does develop, the early track models forecast the system to track northwestward over the open Atlantic Ocean."

11. I'm going to the islands at the end of October
I have a feeling that the Weather Channel is going to get a lot of use in my house that month.

12. In one scenario about global warming I read, it said, among other things,
that the Weather Channel will become the most popular t.v. station.
