We have the 70's, 80's, and the 90's
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 05:25 PM by ck4829
What should we call the years 2000-2010?

I'm going to take a DU'ers advice and I think we should call this decade, The Disaster, The Dark Age, The Failure Years, or The Collapse.

This decade has brought us:

Fears of Y2K
George W. Bush
John Ashcroft
Obstruction to Stem Cell Research
9/11
Obstruction of the 9/11 Commission
E-Voting and Diebold
'Moral Values'
'Catastrophic Success'
The War on Iraq
And many other things

What do you all think?

1. The ignorant noughts.
Which also is a good name for our political leadership through the first half of this decade.

17. I think it will be different
I don't know why but I've always thought it would be different. I think there is a little one going on now. It's not going to be anything huge because times have changed, but I think the public is finally telling Bush "no more crap!" and how we can see through his lies and he's not fooling us.

these will be referred to as "the good old days."

When I'm living in a van. Down by the river. Out of gas.

9. JesusLand, Year Zero!
Every Year. Who needs forward progression of time? Such things only lead to teenagers taking birth control pills and employees askin' for raises and shit. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Bush is a Genius, and Every year is Year Zero.
