He's more valuable to his hero right at home where it's safe.

6. We have the lawyers who showed up in Crawford to cement good
relations with the police and sheriffs to thank for this. And, of course, the police and sheriffs themselves who have been wonderful about it all.

I'm of the impression that the Crawford Peace House has a long standing working relationship with the local police.

10. As long as it is their side that is being arrested for being beligerant...
the situation can only get better as time goes by. By showing that some of the people on their side are little more than thugs, we can keep a positive light on the whole experience.

They are merely deluded, they have yet to open their eyes to the evil they support.

29. Don't you remember the run up to war? George Bush WANTED
a war so bad he could taste it. Day in and day out was "we have to go to war" when we didn't.

What kind of president WANTS to go to war so badly he will make shit up?

A psychopathic one, I say.

43. One FR post mentioned being "pro-War On Terror".
So I guess that's their way out. Of course the Camp Casey protest deals with Bush's War in Iraq, but precision is not the freepers' strong suit.

14. Did Cindy's camp move to the private property?
I'm worried about the safety of the peaceful protesters. This being the last weekend, the RW will certainly try to turn it into a hostile and unsafe atmosphere. But, if the camp is on private property hopefully they can't do as much as if they were still in the ditch.

The ditch is full of people, I'm told of CC 1.
They did have Cindy moved to CC 2 for safety reasons.

22. Now I get it....
"CC1" and "CC2" - CC1 - the ditch, CC2 - private property.

For these last few days, I wonder if everyone shouldn't be at CC2?

I'm a worry-wart - but it's because I know what RW idiots are capable of doing.

but I think you are right with the good work with and from the sheriff dept and the legal team camped in the ditch the pro-peace movement is keeping the peace.

31. This report is from Camp Casey I. 11:00 a.m.
Gene Ellis reporting for The Iconoclast

This report is from Camp Casey I. There are about 20 state trooper
vehicles out here, not including a number of sheriff's department
vehicles.

Right now, there are about 100 individuals on the Camp Casey side
of the triangle and about 60-70 on the pro-war side.

Law enforcement personnel reported that one arrest has been made
at Camp Casey I. A pro-Bush supporter reportedly attempted to
harrass a Camp Casey supporter during the night and was
eventually asked to leave by law enforcement. Then again this
morning, officers say the man returned, becoming obnoxious and
mouthing off. After the man mouthed off to an officer, the man was
arrested and charged with interferring with the duties of a public
servant. The man's name has not been released.

34. Wouldn't that have happened because
the landowner felt he was trespassing?

If the landowner was sympathetic enough to let Cindy & Co. use the land, he was probably not sympathetic to someone who wanted her out of town . . .

Just watch . . . the owner of this land will probably be harassed once the spotlight is off . . .

Seems that he antagonized the cops by refusing to stay on the Camp Realty sid eof the road. He wanted to confront vets at Camp Casey 1. Police will arrest any who cross the road to confront the other side.
