For those waiting for Sirius to get another progressive stream
doesn't look good as of now

When they moved 144 to Korean Talk, I cancelled, and went with XM. Looks like I made the right decision thanks to Roscoe:

Here are a few highlights from the programming update as of September 29. There are other changes, including many category and channel relocations, which I will post later.

New Music Channels:
Super Shuffle (SIRIUS Super Mix)
the coffee house (Acoustic Coffee House Music)
Revolution (Christian Rock)
spa73 (New Age)

New Talk Channels:
Howard Stern Channel
Howard Stern Channel
Martha Stewart Living Radio (How-To For Living)
SIRIUS Advice (Call-in Advice Talk)
Christian Talk

Renamed Channels:
Soul Revue > Soul Town
Horizons > The Globe
SIRIUS Talk Central > SIRIUS Stars
Wisdom > Lime (Healthy Living with a Twist)

Deleted Channels:
Remix
Wax
Slow Jamz
Swing Street

All Traffic Cities get their own Traffic Channel.

I wish that AAR wouldn't have done what they did, but money talks. I am very, very happy that Ed Schultz is moving to 165 and Randi is going for the full four hours as of September 1st. We all need to begin hammering on xm about the Mike Malloy show. Thanks for the update, my son is a Sirius Subscriber and he is looking at a new indash xm. BTW, anyone interested in the xm Roady Two, I saw it at ECost.com for $50.00.....with a 45.00 rebate, that's FIVE BUCKS after rebate.

3. Yeah, we lost AAR and got Howard Stern. What a great trade.
NOT!

I would get rid of it if we weren't getting it for free.

Thank God for webStreams, or I'd have no AAR at all!

7. fine if they wanted Stern, but NOT for 100 million a year
for five years, and at a cost of getting rid of liberal talk

11. It was just wishful thinking on my part. I am really pissed about
them dropping AAR - I know it supposedly came from AAR, but I'm stuck with them until Dec. I never listen anymore. My kids do listen in the car to music. $300 down the drain.

13. I know how you feel
I went with Sirius because of AAR uninterrupted

Anyway, I was able to cancel without a cancellation fee, so you could always ask. You should be able to sell the Sirius radio on ebay. I imagine Stern should increase the demand

If you can't sell, there is at least Thomm Hartman for 1 hour, and Bill Press. Young Turks sometimes are NOT too bad, and Stephanie Miller is great, but only one hour, and time delayed

5. Sirius is going after th "urban" and "hip" market
Very youth oriented music wise - at least that is what the radio guy told me when I was comparison shopping. - I chose XM and am glad I did. but I wish even they would have another channel besides AAr and NPR for progressive slants.

8. I have two questions.
1) I am thinking of asking for this for my birthday (Hubby would get it three months early):

http://cgi.ebay.com/XM-Delphi-XM2go-MyFi-XM-Satellite-Radio-SA10113-NEW_W0QQitemZ5800676872QQcategoryZ79836QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

What do you think?

2) I'm on a month-to-month Sirius plan; would I pay a cancellation fee?

9. I didn't have to pay a cancelation fee
and I was on a yearly contract with Sirius. They credited my account for the remaining time

As far as the MyFi, it would be safer to buy through CNET

I have done business with Abe's of Maine with very good results. They have a secure web site and the price is about the same:

You may also want to look at the Pioneer AirWare:

check other ratailers also, but make sure they are rated high

12. I'm a happy 3 year XM Subscriber who'll be getting another..
subscription when I get my new Honda Ridgeline next month with built-in XM Radio. I'm so glad I went with XM 2 yrs ago and don't have to deal with all this drama.

For once it's good to be part of a winning team. When I bought my XM Roadie for traveling, Sirius was just coming out so I got lucky.
