City by city, state by state, is anyone planning to go to Crawford?
The reason I ask is inspired by this thread, where texaslady wrote HUNDREDS of DU names on a poster to represent those of us who can't make it, but are there in spirit, including me (top center of the first "names" pic).

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=4431765&mesg_id=4433984

It occurred to me that many of us could make signs, offer sustenance and supplies, etc. to those who are going for those who can't.

Every warm body there represents HUNDREDS who would go in a heartbeat given a reasonable chance.

Even if we can't go, we can certainly contribute in many creative ways.

So here's the idea: Post your state; then reply with a city in that state, and let's see how this develops.

2. Phoenix.
I'd love to make posters, I have some medical supplies that may be of help, diapers and training pants for the young'uns.

I'm willing to meet anyone leaving for Crawford within most of the area as long as it's during daylight hours (I have a difficult time night driving).

Thanks!

to run errands and pick up whatever is needed. I suggest that if you wish to help with supplies, you donate cash so that they can buy locally. Of course I am not affiliated in any way with the Peace House(other than as a donor) so this is not official advice. And for those who are going, bring all you need for yourself and a little extra to share. It is chaos out there sometimes, but it is wonderful chaos.
