Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 05:50 PM by VolcanoJen
... and I gave 'em some more $$$.

Just want to encourage EVERYONE OUT THERE to support our Democratic Candidates tonight! Bust out those checkbooks and credit cards, folks. It's crunch time!! The filing deadline is TONIGHT!

Show your support for your candidate of choice (or, in my case, three or four of them!)!!!! Don't forget that we'll be going up against the biggest blood-money Republican campaign warchest in history in November '04. Our candidates are going to need our financial support.

I know we're all struggling to survive this Bush economy, but please, do what you can for OUR CANDIDATES!

:-)
Jennifer

1. Good tip
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 05:46 PM by no name no slogan
I just contributed again to Kucinich today (online, of course).

Remember folks, TODAY is the deadline for Q3 matching funds! So give and give often when you can (especially you Kucinich supporters out there ;) ).

4. I like Edwards
He's great, and I think his platform is the most pro-working class. Clark/Edwards is just as good as Clark/Gephardt to me, and who knows Edwards/Clark or Edwards/Gephardt isn't so bad either!

5. Bush raised 50 million
compared to Dean's 15 million, which led all the other candidates for 3rd quarter. This is gonna be tough, but even if Bush has double or triple the amount whoever the Dem nominee happens to be, he can still lose. And scandals like the current CIA one don't hurt.

6. The most money earned
does not mean that candidate will get the nomination.

7. I agree
I didn't mean to imply that, and I don't think Dean will be the nominee. I was just comparing his total, which was the most raised by the Dem candidates, with Bush's.

8. Bush is in my town, Cincinnati, tonight.
Edited on Tue Sep-30-03 06:21 PM by VolcanoJen
A cold, shivering chill blew through the air of my city when his plane landed, I'm here to tell you.

He's meeting at the home of Carl Lindner, owner of Great American Insurance, Chiquita and the Cincinnati Reds (how dare he bastardize the good name of my beloved Reds!!!) tonight for a mega-rich-people-fuck-the-poor-fundraiser.

Don't forget what we're going up against, DUers. We'll never match their money, but our candidates need our support, our love, our volunteerism, and our grassroots efforts.

Give like you've never gave (given?) before!!!

VICTORY '04!!

9. But I haven't decided to support. I'm trying very hard to stay...
logical, leave emotions out, but I just haven't commited yet. I'm leaning after the last debate. An incident that occured spoke volumes to me, someone I was thinking of supporting has lost that support. I suppose I should give to the candidate I'm leaning towards.

13. That's a great idea!
Part of me thinks I should get off the fence and declare who I'm wanting to support though. Maybe, I'll split the difference.

12. I really am, DTH.
I expected the call to be from a dreaded telemarketer, but as soon as they said "I'm calling on behalf of John Edwards," I whipped out the checkbook.

BASTARDS! They know how to get to me.. :-)

By the way, the lady on the phone was AWESOME. After I was done donating, we picked at Bush for, like, 15 more minutes, before I let her go, pleading with her to get back to work and raise more $$$ for the Senator!

17. OK, I Just Convinced My Fiancee To Donate $250 to Clark
She attended the rally with me a couple of Saturdays ago, and was impressed. I told her how important donating by today was, and also the importance of the $250 (federal matching funds limit). And she donated!

:-)

...I admit I fell for the DU consensus that he is a "conservative" or "Bush-lite"- I think he clearly showed that is not true-

Me- I'm supporting Kerry, but I also like Dean and Clark...

... as a Buckeye, I do wish he'd come home and campaign for Voinovich's Senate seat. GAWD I would work my ass off for that man!!! But, he's a great presidential candidate, and keeps the heat on Bush. For that, I wanna buy Dennis a beer!!

May I add, however: COME HOME TO OHIO, DENNIS! WE NEED YOU!!!!

HOORAY!! Thanks for showing the love to our Dem Candidates, revcarol!
