Going to Iran....Mr. * steppin' into deeper doodoo..
Edited on Sun Aug-14-05 07:04 AM by Skidmore
Okay, it is now apparent that * is jonesing for another war and more oil. He's attempting to gin up a broken war machine to go "liberate" the Iranians from their oil fields and to serve as the vanguard against nucular destruction of the world, dressed in his Superman costume from Halloween 1955. What will fuel this military solution he is bellowing about now? Does Iran have a Chalabi and Judith Miller and Novak are out of commission. Our treasury has been looted, they are talking about 3rd tours of duty for an exhausted and dwindling military, and this morning I heard that they are scrambling for armor again (and very inefficiently at that).

Do you suppose that someone up there will develop the cajones to say we can't do it? Our military has not been able to successfully deal with a country that we hammered away at for decades, now we're going to take on Iran? If * thinks he can play chicken forever with smaller nations, he's foolish. If Iraq is a quagmire and Iran will be an entire swamp.

1. I think he is shoring up his supporters with more war rhetoric
The RW loves it when he goes all war macho, he will continue to huff and puff for a war with Iran just to make himself look tough and in control.

2. hmmm
I think the nuke preparedness exercizes in the carolinas later this month will provide the cover to re-enact 9-11, only this time they'll use real nukes on American's instead of planes.

Naturally, we'll be forced to invade Iran, as there will be ample "proof" they're the ones that nuked us.

9-11, Part Deux.

4. I know this isn't exactly "on topic"
but I was reading Richard Heinberg's "The Party's Over" and in the introduction (or first chapter) he says the United States' policy is that oil is important enough to take it by force. That also reminds me of Cheney's words, "The American way of life will not be compromised." Scary shit, IMHO.
