"But that is the only path that will secure a Chinese century, a century in which the CCP leads the world."
--Chi Haotian, Former China Defense Minister

What now, a PNCC (Project for the New Chinese Century)? Oh, great!

Much more here: http://www.theepochtimes.com/news/5-8-6/30931.html

2. With what?
I mean, yes, they have nukes... but they don't have the delivery systems to wipe out 2/3rds of the U.S. population... while the U.S. does have the delivery systems, and the nukes, to irradiate all of China so nothing lives there for the next 2-3 millinnia.

As one (fictional) account goes...
Chinese Ambassador: would you sacrifice Los Angeles to save Taiwan?
U.S. Ambassador: would you sacrifice Bejieng, Shanghai, and every other city in China over a thousand people to destroy Los Angeles? Because that's our counter offer.

5. Scary stuff
Isn't the acquisition of an effective delivery system just a matter of time? Then what? I really can't imagine how this will all play out. It just scares the bejeebers out of me--and I think of the new moms and dads out there who're gonna have to raise their youngsters under this horrific cloud. Just breaks my heart that a relatively small group of megalomaniacs can so screw up the entire human race. When will those in America who support the neocons finally get the picture? When is the rest of the world going to start standing up to this U.S. administration? If we go down, it will also be the fault of people's apathy. In the meantime, the pace of the race to the end is steadily picking up. Otherwise, I'm feeling quite positive about life. NOT!!

6. Are you familiar with the "Prisoner's Dilemma"?
If both are rational, and they both know it, then the rational thing to do is nothing.
However, if only one is rational, and he knows the other is not, then the only rational thing to do is shoot first...

19. No.
It was late at night, I'd taken my meds.

However, I'd recomend everyone to look up the "Prisoner's Dilemma" anyway... it applys to a lot of situations.

9. Yas.
Their one bms is a threat. They can do great and terrible damage to the United States...
And in return, we can destroy them down to the microbes.
But you're right about us deindustrializing ourselves.
Not today, not tommorrow... but in the decades to come...

11. OK, there's one thing seriously flawed about this theory
Many Asian cultures, Chinese (government) included are really big in "purity", meaning they seriously frown on mixing of the races and/or ethnic identities. They frown on it even worse than American Dixie.

What would they do with us after they bombed the hell out of us? They couldn't move their population over here, whenever you have people together, you have screwing and babies. For them this would mean the dreaded "mixed" babies.

Oh, and then there is the little fact that China could really give a crap about anyone else's country. They're like the 400lb. goalie of the economic world, not very athletic but they make up for it in sheer size. They are just recently getting the hang of throwing their weight around. If they do take us on, it will be by proxy, not directly. The money's better that way, and we don't really have much they need.

14. They'd do it indirectly by proxy
and that proxy would be terrorists. Indeed, it would be foolish to take us on directly. But by working with the Russians and making sure that some briefcase nukes go "missing" and end up in the appropriate hands, then a bunch of these are exploded in major cities across America, they have effectively destroyed us. Meanwhile, they have plausible deniability and can claim they had nothing to do with it, so that we don't nuke them back.

To make matters worse, a single nuke exploding about 200 miles high across the center of the USA would cause an EMP that would take out most electrical and electronic systems, for at least 6 months, perhaps indefinitely (depends on whether we're free to attempt the lengthy repairs or if we're too busy trying to avoid starving to death).

Things are bad, and Lord Bush only makes it worse.

15. I don't believe the myths
that have told us for years how safe we are from China because their nukes aren't up to snuff with ours. Well if Pakistan and N Korea are playing with ICBM technology then I guarantee China has much better. This is the age of the microchip and of lost nukes from the old USSR. State secrets can be stolen in seconds from a laptop computer. I think we're going to be in for a rude surprise if we underestimate any military in this day and age.

18. Do you or anyone else remember a story about a company in Florida
that had an employee that was sending our chip technology to China? I can't find my old link anywhere. It seemed like the guys name was Henry something. He was convicted but was given only a slap on the wrist and was not even deported. The chips or info that he was passing was a huge deal because it could potentially jam our systems and make it hard if not impossible to launch our nukes. Anyone else remember that story? I'm going to go look for it again because I think it would be important to look it over again in light of this post.

20. I was wrong, it was not nukes, it was missle components.....Link
http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00001208.htm

http://www.ice.gov/graphics/news/factsheets/ICEarmsstrategic.htm

Missile Components to China - On March 12, 2004, ICE agents arrested two individuals in Orlando, Fla., on charges of violating the Export Administration Act, conspiracy, and false statements. Ting-Ih Hsu, a naturalized U.S. citizen and president of Azure Systems, Inc, and Hai Lin Nee, a Chinese citizen and an employee of Azure systems, were charged in a federal indictment with illegally exporting to China 25 low-noise amplifier chips that have applications in the U.S. Hellfire missile. According to the indictment, the defendants falsely labeled the sensitive technology in export documents as “transistors” worth some $20. If convicted, each could fact up to 10 years in prison and $50,000 in fines. Hsu was a former employee of defense contractor Lockheed Martin. Nee formerly worked at a U.S. research institute that designed software for military and warfare simulations.

21. Yes and No
We invaded the wrong country, but I'm also not for invading China. If we start invading everyone that is or may be a threat, we'll have invaded most of the world, which is logistically impossible. The Neo-CONS think its possible, but look at their results... only on country #2 so far and already have severe troubles.

I honestly believe sometimes that * wants us all dead. Why else would he go out of his way to piss off all of these countries? Why would he go out of his way to get rid of all the military bases so we can no longer defend ourselves? Our country is so screwed, and it is ALL *'s fault.
