Need legal info regarding civilian rights during martial law
Do any legal eagles out there have any information about what might happen to activists and citizens who raise protest during martial law? I need this info for a variety of reasons, but mainly because people are asking me what will happen to them if the rumors of Iran invasion in September, preceeded by "terror attack" on US soil that will be blamed on Iran, actually happen.

And from recent actions by Rummy and Cheney, looks like we are headed for a showdown.

I need LEGAL information, but also intelligent speculation as to what will happen.

Stick your tin foil accusations where the sun don't shine...people are really getting worried!!!

1. There are no
civil rights during martial law. Most likely those who protest will be arrested or shot.

2. That does not help.
Actually there are rights, we just have to know what they are. They are constricted, to say the least, but until the Posse Comitatus act is totally suspended, we may have some rights in fighting military intervention in civilian affairs.

9. The constitution is suspended under martial law
There are no rights because there is no consitution under those conditions.

4. Is martial law even part of the U.S. Code...
or is it just a CT thing? (I'm not saying it can't happen...only saying that it might not be encoded anywhere).

martial law during the American Revolution.

They will start with a specific area, be quick and Brutal to send a message to the rest.

that way only the hardcore will show up and protest and they will have less to take care of.

and what is this about a 2 million bed "Facility" in ..Alaska.??

they have already done some small dry runs using the Articles' against gang members, it worked real good.

you go to a magistrate... most likely In absentia, In Mass. each group gets the same sentence, no appeals, no discussion, no lawyers. Then they haul you off to the Gulag. This will be expensive so corporate industry will provide "Work" so that the offenders can pay for their punishment and the rich will get richer.
