OMFG Just watched the daily show from last night........
That was probably the funniest DS I have ever seen. I was in tears!!!! From Bob Novak's "birthday present" to Jon, to "the less you know" to the Dukes of Hazzards segment I just couldnt stop laughing. I am so glad I was too tired to watch it last night and taped it. I don't think I will ever tape over that one..

7. The oil cycle
I haven't seen last nights episode yet, but I loved a couple of nights ago where they showed the cycle of oil. They always put things into perspective. Too bad this is not mandatory watching for Republicans.

23. That segment should be a commercial
every American should see the "oil cycle" and know just where our tax money is going....straight to Exxon/Chevron/Mobil and their 200+% profits. And "tax incentives".

4. and did you notice...
they didnt' bleep it when Novak said bullshit....

can't they get in trouble for that? I mean, even though it happened live on CNN, I didn't think they could play it again without censoring it.

why...why....the very foundations of our entire society might collapse if there are dirty words on the tv...

9. The Dukes of Hazzard segment where John Colbert was talking to
some frat guys at the University of Tennessee was KILLING me. I laughed so hard I accidentally woke up my husband (gets up earlier than I do). The one kid who KEPT describing the "package" of the original Duke boys in their tight jeans and just KEPT describing it and KEPT describing it and Colbert's face....well, it killed me. I mean the kid was obsessed with the tight jeans on those guys.

And The Less You Know segment was classic, priceless. That's one I hope they do a lot from now on. SOOOOOOO true, too.

More and more I think of TDS not just as hilarious but as brilliant. I love the way JS just cuts through the bullshit. When he showed some anchor (Asian woman, don't know her name) saying "Is there a panda baby boom going on in this country?" He said "COULD IT BE NORMAL SEASONAL BREEDING PATTERNS?" I wanted to stand up and applaud. EXACTLY why I don't watch ANY American news on TV, they are ALL stupid and it is ALL bullshit. I mean really, a panda baby boom? How idiotic.

My GOD, I've never heard a man go on that long decribing another man's bits. Tears rolling down my face.

25. Bouncy, I LOVE your Willie picture!!!
Love, love, love that man. And he's got an amazing, pitch-perfect voice.

But back to your original point, frat boy's repeated "yeah, I'd bounce that ass" had me and my husband collapsed on the couch, laughing hysterically.

12. Is there a link to it up anywhere yet? I looked at TDS site, and...
...crooksandliars.com, already. Nothing yet.

There's also some site... Dembuzz, or something... that regularly posts TDS clips, but I can't remember it now.

17. I cracked up at Colbert & the man protesting the confederate flag.
I couldn't help but feel bad for the guy, but when he tried to mimic Colbert's light ("the kids love symbols of oppression")tone saying something about it being "fun" to oppress people, then Colbert got very serious and said, "Now that's where you and I differ."

21. May be the funniest show so far
every segment was hilarious. A couple were that mixture of hilarity and pain. (The Less you Know). And a couple were just flat out funny. (The Dukes of Hazzard).
Excellent show. All should be congratulated.

28. Terrific show last night!
You have to tune into TDS to get actual news. MSNBC, FOX, and CNN all show the missing teen or 'Honeymoon Murder' not real news.

However I was disappointed in the way they edited the 'Cooter' segment. The original Daisy was not a skank like the way she is portrayed in the movie. Daisy was an All-American girl in the tradition of Mary-Anne from Giligans Island. Look, but try and touch and you'll get a boot to the groin.

Cooter was right and the way they edited his interview made him look like a hypocritical idiot. Do that to the wingnuts, not former Dem congressmen who came 2 points from beating Newt during the 'Contract on America' election of '94.

Otherwise, great show as usual. They should turn 'The less you know' into a regular segment.
