Bush aides defend intelligence, did not know what they would find in Iraq.
Edited on Sun Sep-28-03 07:12 PM by The Lone Liberal
Sunday television political venue showcased another Bush administration irrational exercise in logic. C. Rice stated that the intelligence was good, but we really didn’t know what we would find in Iraq. Let’s see if we can make that one float: Good intelligence = Operating in the dark. Nope don’t work!

"We did not have perfect foresight into what we were going to find in Iraq," Rice told NBC's "Meet the Press."

"There was enrichment of the intelligence from 1998 over the period leading up to the war," Rice said.

3. Hell Condi, no one expects 'perfect foresight'
We just expect sound judgment, to use one of Dubya's favorite phrases. That, and honesty and integrity, you know, those things this administration was supposed to restore.

6. Huh?? I distinctly remember Powell and Bush
telling us exactly how much "bad scary stuff" saddam had, right down to the ml...and that they knew where it was...and that it was a 45 minute timeline..

What a bunch of liars:(

7. One would think ....
... that at the very least our intelligence apparatus would have known that Iraq was falling apart. Bush and his minions want us to believe that they are shocked, shocked that nothing works in Iraq. Maybe we could have asked someone who had been there.... Wow, put me on the CIA payroll.
