Seriously. Over the last 40 years, the "War On Drugs" has cost trillions and hundreds of thousands of lives.

It's how to boost prison populations for slave labor. First a few million drug users and eroding due process with plea bargains, then tens of millions of "extremists" combined with eliminating due process altogether. They pretty much don't want to stop until everyone making less than a million dollars a year is a slave laborer in prison.
