I'm sure this has been/will be said here a million times it's so blatantly hypocritical of them - I just thought I'd add my post for the record. Republicans HATE the troops. They just LOVE war and love sending poor people to fight and learn some supposed "lessons" about life.

Yeah, they learn to hate elitist Republican war mongering hypocrites.

a soldier that goes off to war and comes back to tell what war is like is a traitor to their thinking...

instead of listening to someone who would know, they call them crazy...they say they have mental problems...that they're unstable...that their opinion of war is biased...

if you go to war you're a hero....if you come back from war telling it like it is...you're crazy

With one side of their mouth they will praise the troops and talk about what a honor it is to serve the country (even as they have never worn a uniform themselves)

from the other side of their mouth they castigate any soldier who speaks the truth about war...


Yet their supporters, with their yellow ribbons and flag waving, never once grasp the contradiction....

These are just lazy fools who want to trust the government to protect them from the boogieman so they can have sex with their family members (or some equivalent perversion).
