"Santorum Now Open to '08 White House Run"
WASHINGTON (AP) - Two days after saying he had no intention of running for president in 2008, Republican Sen. Rick Santorum said Wednesday there was a slight possibility he could run after all.

"There's a remote chance that that could change, but that's not my intention," Santorum told The Associated Press between television rounds to promote his new book, "It Takes a Family."

Separately, he said he wanted to "leave this little window open" because he didn't know what might happen between now and the election, according to a story posted on the Philadelphia Inquirer Web site.

Santorum, a conservative from Pennsylvania, told the AP he could not think of any circumstances that would change his mind about not running. He said he has long said he has no intention of running for president, and was surprised his comments Monday garnered so much attention.

1. Forget it
Just run one ad about the dead foetus playtime, and he'll drop.

Same thing with Cat-killer Frist

2. He'll be a defeated former Senator by then.
That's why Pataki decided not to run for re-election. You can't run for President after losing your current job.

3. That news should help in his Senate run
I will serve you for 2 years and then spend the rest of the time campaigning for a position I have no chance in hell of getting.

6. Ahem. Dear Senator Santorum, Govs. Romney and Pataki,
being unable to keep your current seat because you are ineffective, offensive, or just plain batshit crazy, is NOT a qualification for running for president.

That being said, Dear Republicans: Please Please PLEASE nominate one of these people.
