...If you had looked, just a tad closer, rather than getting your "they're making fun of Gays" meter into a bundle, you might have noticed, I made him a Little Girl, as in "Quivering like a..."

However, your immediate dive into the "PC" pool upon seeing the image does interest me.

I could have made him a clown, and I imagine there are those who would get their knickers in a twist because they Love clowns.

I could have made him an Old Church Lady, and their are those who would go screaming for the hills because how dare we mock the elderly.

I could have simply put his head on the tail end of a horse, and the animal lovers would be squeeling about mocking animals.

I could have made him a blond, and suddenly I'd hear screaming and knashing of teeth from the blonds.

10. Some additional thoughts

Why is it, in order to discredit or humiliate men, they are depicted as women (or a little girl, in this case)? It has misogynistic undertones, and could be perceived as anti-gay as well. Growing up gay, being called a "sissy" or "little girl" was not uncommon.

I don't think it is really an issue of PC-ness gone awry, but rather a need for decorum. Seriously, would you have put him black-face? If not, why not? It is not a matter having no sense of humor, but understanding the depth of discrimination against other groups of people.

No, I gotta disagree, this is a case of PCism gone awry.

Why don't we do this. We need to petition DU to set up a "What's Funny & What's Not" list. A PC Decorum List, if you will...

Give Photoshoppers a list of topics that aren't allowed, or that are outright Heresy.

Maybe a List of Colors we aren't allowed to paint with, picture elements, etc, that might be offensive to one or another.

Of course, let's not forget fonts, we can't have someone use a font that might be suggestive of inner meanings or motivations.

Or perhaps, better yet, we should simply outlaw Photoshopped images, because we never know, we might offend someone, sometime, for some reason...

My guess is you were trying to make him look bad, so why the image of a little girl? Why is it insulting to be a girl if you are a man (or vice versa (boy/woman)...although that is rare)?

It is a shame you don't see an issue with it, but you shouldn't be surprised if others do take issue with it. If you are free to express yourself by using photoshop, are we not as free to express our opinions that we find the picture offensive (I don't personally, I just think it is silly)?
