What would you do if a FReep at work sent you this?
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 04:47 PM by sepia_steel
This is an email I got form THE Christian Republican at my work. Does he think it's funny? (Yes, he did, actually) Sometimes he's really cool. Other times... notsomuch.

-----------------------------------------------------
"What do you mean??? He is just expressing his right to pursue happiness in what he feels is a loving and emotionally fulfilling relationship.

How narrow minded and bigoted for you to judge him on what you feel is a “true” partnership. If this is “his truth” than we as an accepting society should embrace his right to a fulfilling, and meaningful life by expressing himself as he desires. That’s the problem with people like you…you expect society to all believe as you believe…like you have the real truth and everyone else is in the dark. I hope that the ACLU comes to this poor guy’s aid. He has a right to be happy without our condemnation.

And you think that there is something wrong with society……

2. This is supposed to be dripping sarcasm, right?
In which case, he's making the same point as "man-on-dog" Santorum.

20. That's what I would do
I would do that. They like attention. People like him. That dog story is just weird.... And I agree with one of the person's who committed that the dog can't stop the act because the human is stronger. It's basically rape.

4. I couldn't tell which was commentary
and which was the email. But my, my, we are having a spate of bestiality stories today. Was the blind guy confused and having sex with his dog in the front yard? How did anyone know he was doing this? I mean the guy having sex with the horse had to go to the hospital, where he died from his escapade.

Sorry that you have to work with a freeper christian. That must be very difficult every day.

The guy asked a female acquantiance if she wanted in on the acts and she told her friend who called up services. That's how they found out.

6. Forward to HR, and tell them it's offensive.

Than sue your company for 'distress' and live on a tropical island somwhere.

Or just ignore it. Does your christa-freeper own a dog? Why does he think it's 'funny'? Hmmmmm.

8. I would politely inform this person...
... that I do not share his political views on this matter and that his mailings are not likely to change my mind. I would go on to say that I think it is inappropriate to use his or my work resources and time to express himself in this way.

I would of course need to fight my own anger in doing so. I would also have to resist forwarding this email to the CEO of my company who would likely give him about 10 minutes to clean out his desk.

9. Did he send it to you out of the blue?
Or was it part of an on-going email conversation?

If out of the blue, contact your HR department.

11. Sexually Explicit Harassment - Report it to management
This goes to management; immediately if not sooner. He's using work computers for harassment with sexually explicit content. If they move to protect him, forward it to everyone in the company, or in HIS address book ;)

14. He's trying to be cute
One phrase debunks this- pets can't consent to sex or "marriage" with humans.

Make an example out of this piece of garbage. Let him find out if God provides firsthand.

16. Well...unlike the unfortunate guide dog.....
Humans have the ability to consent or not to whatever sexual activity grabs them (or not)

Tell him you'll get upset when he finds an article about a man being preosecuted for boffing a box turtle.

That, or turn his ass in to HR for harrassment. It's not very appropriate to send articles about sex around the workplace...
Even if it includes a Loofa.

22. I'd throw it back on him.....
Tell him that you don't know of a human being, liberal or conservative, who would think that raping a defenseless animal is okay. Add how utterly appalled you are that he can even come up with a rationale for this being okay, even in jest. Look him in the eye and ask, with a puzzled and concerned look on your face, if HE ever fucked an animal.

Then send him the link the previous poster suggested about the sexual proclivities of conservative Republicans, but privately---don't send him anything through your work electronically about this. Then he can't report YOU like you could report him to human resources. Be smart and never forget to cover your ass.

And don't let him believe he has the moral high-ground because of his religious and political beliefs. If anything, we know they are more likely to be morally bankrupt and you should treat him as such.

Good luck!
