Dixie Chicks, flying high
A letter from Natalie Maines to her supporters was a feature on Atrios' blog yesterday and is a feature on Counterspin.blogspot today. I, for one, think the Dixie Chicks are koowehl. And, I gave Natalie a pass on her supposedly backtracking for critisizing Bush. For awhile there, it looked like the Chicks were going to pay with their livelyhood for expressing one of their constituional rights. Does the term, Pink Tutu Senate Democrats, ring a bell with anyone? If Natalie backtracked a little, so what?

Her fan letter is just more evidence of her coolness.
