will bush be able to function without his brain?
will poppy move to the white house if the brain has to go?

if he has to go, will the brain re-enter the white house through some back door?

if the brain is bush's fix upon the world stage, as alcohol is to the alcohol dependent, will bush suffer withdrawal symptoms if the brain has to go?

will condoliar's train be derailed if the brain has to go?

will the effects of removing the brain from the white house, be to bush and the white house as the planes were to the twin towers = devastating? will bush sink if his brain is removed?

are these valid, or invalid questions to ponder in the wild blue yonder?

1. The Brain will not go....
Just like Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, he'll run things from backstage after getting ousted from ringside.....

TDS had a great segment on the whole thing tonight, available http://www.contemporaryinsanity.org/content/view/113/2/">here

3. Bobby the Brain ...
Bobby the Brain was the manager of Ray Stevens and Nick Bockwinkel, among others. I think Bobby would find it an insult to be compared with Karl.

4. He's done fine so far
Punchline aside, the question of whether Rove goes is quite interesting. Remember: George W. Bush is a figurehead. In his conceit, he thinks he rules the earth, but he is a puppet of many different masters. Rove is much more powerful than many would like to admit, and I'd like to know just how thick he is with thieves like Cheney.

To cashier Rove is not possible. He may leave "voluntarily" when the time comes, but there will be no excoriation or admission of anything untoward. His dark presence will still be there if he does go, and the power of this little Bormann will live on.

We know that Poppy hates him, but we don't know much else from within the junta.

Centralized though the monarchists are, there are many players. What's fun is that many players jockey for position on a regular basis. Rumsfeld is, by his estimation, the defacto Secretary of State, and Condi is the Mary Tyler Moron of nowhere, an apt successor to General Powell; what will Rumsfeld do when faced with a bit of a vacuum?

Many forces are at play.

7. thank you
for a brilliant and well anchored analysis of the rove situation.

there is one thing that confuses me though. is it possible for POPPY to hate Rove when POPPY knows that his son owes his puppet show to ROVE?

The Bushes are a very incestuous type family. You see it in their relationships with each other. You see it in the relationships that they keep. You see it in the jokes they like to play on each other and on other people. Their incestuousness is everywhere... so my question becomes, does POPPY hate ROVE becase he might see ROVE as a more powerful FATHER figure than POPPY ever hoped to be to Bush, or does he hate him because POPPY HAS BETTER MORALS THAN ROVE OR BUSH JR AND HE HATES ALL THE BASTARDLY WAYS OF ROVE?

They truly are a complicated system and I love how you describe condoliar as THE MARY TYLER MORON of nowhere ...THAT seems to be the glue that holds all of them together: not one of them knows WHO they are, WHERE they are going to, nor the soil that might truly feed their soul.

10. Junior has always rebelled against Poppy
When Poppy suspected cunning psychos like Rove, Junior has embraced them--just to spite Daddy. Junior has a love-hate relationship with Poppy, and now this twisted psychodynamic is being played on a worldwide stage.

Note: Rove is not the genius many think he is. He's just very cunning, like the evil psychopath he is.

11. how does that saying go,
"birds of a feather cling together" or something like that?

Bush is Rove's psychopathic twin...it seems that is why they get along so well.. and the world is all the worse for it.

5. Bush will be even more brain dead than he is now ,if kkkarl goes
Everybody that I know suspected all along, that Bush had a grossly abnormal brain. Turns out that the national brain may have had a criminal mind too. I'll bet Clowndy is worried sick about bush totally losing his mind! What will she tell the grown ups?

Tune in again tomorrow...For...the next episode of...'The Blinding Light', brought to you by the makers of 'Angerdrine'!

This is the soap opera from hell!

9. i love your creative way of referring to the Bu$cos as,
"The Blinding Light ... brought to you by the makes of Angerdrine - The soap opera from hell".

SNL or John Stewart would love that line! I do.

13. "Sh*t For Brain" hits the nail on the head with turdblossomgate...
Piece of Sh*t Prez with the Piece of Sh*t For Brains! A stinky combination from the word go! Bush's grossly abnormal shit for brains, is as happy as a hog in slop, when it comes to shredding someone's good name.

And BTW, thanks... :hi:

12. this morning on CSPAN
--Washington Journal--a caller on the "support the prez" line actually said: "Bush can't fire Rove--it would be like firing himself! Rove's the Brain behind Bush!" (...like this is big news...)

LOL, I guess even the Repugs are worried about a brainless Chimpy.
Zombie W is a scary thought no matter which side of the aisle you're on. I'd be surprised if the Brain is unceremoniously rejected by it's host. The Brain will be duly rewarded for significant accomplishments and everyone will grin as they slap backs and clasp hands at the pickling ceremonies.

But if a complete severance occurs, maybe the president can find a new one here:

21. i wonder what kind of turmoil this has thrown ole pooppy bush in.
during junior's first presidentidal campaign he promised on national television "this boy of mine will not let you down. i promise you that." right then and there he was confessing to a national audience that that boy of his was going to be walking tight ropes on a leash.

i wonder too if ole babs is stewing somewhere in a room some sort of witches' brew to keep the whole thing from boiling over ...

these bushes .... they speak spanish, they should've known the old spanish saying which goes, "más fácil se coge a un mentiroso que a un cojo" roughly translated it means, "it is easier to catch a liar than it is to catch one who limps".

14. Cheney is the brain
Rove is the mouth.

First gag the mouth to silence the protestations, then go for the brain. Bush and his administration are finished.

Then on to flush the Senate and Congress of these 'new' republicans. This should move our country far enough back to the 'center' so we can then deal properly with the serious problems our country faces.

15. Damn right Jose
We go for the mouth first, because it leads back to the real power. The more pressure that is put on rover, the more uncomfortable cheney becomes.
I for one would like to see how good that defibulator crashcart has implanted is.

17. That's true.
Republicans are already discussing how they can get Rove to "partially" exit the administration, but still provide advice, similar to the way Karen Hughes did it.

19. The 'republicans' do not have the real source of power
We are the power. Right here in DU is the power. All it takes to gain the voice of America is a crew of about a 1000 using the media to plant countermanding ideas in the publics mind.

It's really about organizing and singing to the same tune.

18. Because he will be in jail
And Cheney and Bush will be under indictment for perjury, trying to keep their jobs and as such unable to issue pardons for anyone, let alone themselves.

It's a house of cards, any operation that depends on a single individual to keep running is weak, they need Rove to keep J.Q. Public in the dark. Without Rove the the mass of lies catches and then sinks them all.
