Rove Not a Target? Oh really ......... ?

Yanno how they keep tellin' us that Rover's not a 'target' of the investigation .... ? How old is that info? A day? A week? A year?

We all should know by now that there are three categories of 'folks' that grand juries wanna speak to .... targets .... who are the designated bad guys ....... witnesses ...... who are just there for background and are pretty much in the clear .... they just *know* shit ... they usually haven't *done* shit ............ and then the amorphous and limbo-like category of ..... subject.

Subjects are both betwixt and between. They can just as easily turn into a target as a witness. They're the greeezy, greeeezy, greeeeeeezy ones that no one knows quite how to handle .... or which way they'll turn.

Subjects can very quickly move into the witness group and get the highly coveted 'get out of jail free for life' card ....... or ...... like Simon and Garfunkle sang, they can go 'slip slidin' away' to target status.

So where's Rover? All we ever hear is that he isn't a target ... but even that denial is couched in lotsa past tense fluff.

1. Hey, That's *Good* News
if Rove's not a target, he's definitely a subject. And if he's not a target, that means someone else is.

2. The Immunity Agreement and the 3 times he had to
testify before the Grand Jury is just the norm-right! Does not sound like they are interested in him at all....

5. Am I just being pessimistic?
Its sad, but I honestly don’t believe they will be able to indict Rove on any charges related to the leak. I think his attorney will continue to adhere to, “He never gave her name to Cooper”. There will be some low level bureaucrat to take the fall with minimal ties to Bush personally. Rove will come out of this ordeal smelling like a rose with democrats in the spotlight demanding his head.

I could be wrong...Only time will tell.
