People are saying, we'll have them in 08 or they are working on it!

Hell, they got them ready for Iraq in about a month.
So why can't we do it NOW!!!!

Faster? Perhaps, but no elections at all is faster still! Instant results? here does the Constitution offer immediate gratification? Cheaper? Nonsense!

why the hell not paper ballots, counted by hand (or by stand-alone machines and verified by human beings), video taped, webcast, observed by representatives from other communities also -- whatever it takes for security and confidence? The counting process could be a great civic event. We still believe in commmunity, don't we?

11. Luddites passed on for a reason.
I think paper balloting is too confining and restrictive. We should be pushing for open enrollment and online voting. Internet voting will open the ballot box to all Americans wishing to vote. The more who vote the better we do.

The new "community" is virtual.
