Did Murdoch hire General Clark to give FOX more "balance"?
Surely he is aware of the criticism FOX has received over the last few years? Surely he has heard the criticism? And as he sees the numbers of FOX go down, he decides to make a change? He will bring in a "Democratic" voice to balance the perceived right-wing flavor that they have enjoyed for years now? Is this part of Murdoch's new strategy to make FOX more "believable" ?

2. Even the freepers were getting sick of the repeated mindless message
of Fox News. Look at their numbers? All the networks are loosing customers.

3. Actually....

My opinion is that he hired Clark to mount up the video catalog that can be used against him if he were to run in '08....The more tape, the more chances for sound bites.....

5. What's he gonna do when everything Clark says today turns out
to be a truthful prediction in 2007/8?

The media tried that shit last time and called Clark kooky for his preditions. Problem is that all Clark's predictions have now come true.

7. naw ...
that's not gonna happen. Clark's too smart for that.

I think they hired Clark for ratings. But accepting the job is a stroke of genius on Clark's part -- it gives him the opportunity to get through to the brainwashed zombies who believe all the lies they hear from Hume, Snow, Hannity, and the rest of those sorry excuses for journalists. Clark is truthful, articulate, compelling, passionate, ex-military, and best of all ... he's on our side!

Don't believe me? Watch some of his interviews with Fox during the primaries. You can see them at http://www.u-wes-a.com/ . It was during one heated interview on Fox that he earned the nickname "General Smackdown"!

9. I do believe you..
I support Clark myself. The question here was Fox's motivation for the hire and in my opinion it wasn't to achieve balance in their broadcasts.
