CNN's Jeff Greenfield says Bush should pardon Miller
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 04:34 PM by oasis
He told Wof Blitzer it was possible a solution to her spending time in jail for protecting her source.

Yup. pardon Judith Miller since she aided the PNACers in the march to the Iraq invasion :sarcasm:

Get that Valarie Plame stuff off the front pages. People may ask questions about Joe Wilson, yellow cake, etc..

1. Rather than being pardoned, maybe Judith should reveal the source since
national security was jeopardized. But maybe some don't want the source revealed.

2. She can't be pardoned by Bush.
Miller has NOT been convicted of ANY crime. Sometime these media types are soooooooo stupid.

4. Sure she can
Nixon was not charged with any crime, yet he was pardoned by Ford.

6.  Greenfield thinks Chimpy holds Judith's get-out-of-jail-free-card. She
doesn't have to do time.

3. "People may ask questions" - What country are YOU living in?
In this country, we salute the flag and swear allegiance to our President, right or wrong.

Ask questions! Ha! That's so French.

12. The Kool Aid drinkers won't ask about Plame/Wilson etc. There are

many independent thinking Americans who don't know about what's happening behind the scenes because the corporate media has not been reporting it.

7. It's Not That Easy
The "liberal" MSM would portray a pardon is proof that there's nothing to the story.

15. That would be an impossible spin
No way. Pardon her and it's a coverup. Plain and simple.

The numbers are such that a pardon would be political suicide.

42% are ready to impeach if he lied about Iraq, for Goddess' sake!

8. That's why Wolfie cautioned JG about his statement. He said Bush
would want to avoid the appearance of a coverup.

10. You Would Trade A Legal Issue For An Ethical One?
Its implied that this is simply a legal issue, the notion of pardon. That could just as easily be accomplished at a much lower level than Bush, just offer up immunity as a condition of testimony. However in either case it then becomes an ethical issue for Ms. Miller alone. Do you wish to put that burden on her?
