Bill Clinton and bush I take a boat ride

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - Former President Bill Clinton joined his one-time political foe, former President George H.W. Bush, for a boat ride on the Atlantic Ocean after attending a book-signing Monday in South Portland.

Clinton was seen kneeling to pet a dog when he arrived at Walker's Point, the summer home of George and Barbara Bush on Maine's rocky coast.

Later, Clinton and Bush waved to onlookers early Monday evening as they boated up and down the river that separates Kennebunk and Kennebunkport before roaring into the ocean for a short ride in Bush's three-engine boat, the Fidelity III.

9. I agree with you. This situation is just plain weird. What was that movie,
something about 'Body Snatchers'. Maybe this ain't Bill at all. Or maybe Barbara's amazing ugliness burnt up some part of his brain. The common sense part.

3. I didn't realize there was some kind of weird requirement
that former presidents hang out and play buddy buddy routines.

I don't see Carter and Ford yucking it up too often. Or Carter and bush the elder. Or Carter and Clinton, for that matter.

(Isn't Ford still alive?)

31. With Ford
I think he's sick and pretty old. It is kinda strange. Isn't Bush older then Clinton too? What really got me was when Barbara called Clinton a "son." What really started me wondering is when Clinton had his library opening and Clinton asked if he was the only one who liked both George and John (Kerry). Of course I said "duh!" When Clinton thanked Kerry he got loud screams and when Bush was introduced he had hardly any. ;) So it is kinda weird. I guess Carter's still doing his center and doesn't have time to go around on boats and sign books.

5. Another thing:
In a way, I kind of like it. Here's why: I know for a FACT it drives right wingers BATSHIT to see stuff like this. It bothers them WAYYYYY more than it bothers us. So in that sense, I'm fine with it. Plus I think it burns up Chimpy McCokespoon to see this, too.

14. Oh I think it's DEFINITELY strategic.
Does Clinton do anything that isn't strategic? I don't necessarily mean that in a negative way, but seriously.

And yeah, I think the relationship between * and Poppy is strained and has been for years and years now. The way things are nowdays isn't helping any, either.

21. * can get terribly jealous ...
In 2000 he was going around saying that "my dad's idea of the perfect son was Al Gore". I suspect that Poppy did say something complimentary about Gore (military veteran, promising political career, not known for getting into trouble) -- and Georgie remembers it to this day!

Likely he would not be thrilled if his folks kept saying "Bill said this" and "Bill and I had a great game of golf" -- my guess is that the elder Bushes are quite aware of this, and won't hesitate to use it. (Georgie disliked golf when he was younger, and was particularly resentful when his mom made him accompany her.)

23. From what I understand, he still hates golf.
And poppy has been known recently to speak glowingly of Clinton, which probably burns up chimpy mccokespoon to NO END.

Which I love, of course!

Hee hee.

10. Perhaps they're comparing the body counts they've accrued
Bush had his war (that Highway of Death was a real corker); Clinton had his 8 years of economic sanctions.

How about this: Whoever wins the "most children killed" award gets hauled to the Hague first.

22. That's funny! That's what my friends and I say.
I find Clinton to be personally charming, very charismatic, but he really doesn't fool me politically. He's the consummate politician, always positioning himself for his own best interests.

This keeping company with elder bush is disgusting, though. He's a creepy, vile pedophile who loves to feel the young boys in Brazil.

26. Clinton never had a good father. Bush I never had a good son.
Bush's dad isn't nearly the scum-sucking POS his boys are. He fathered swine and married ugly, but Bush I was a credible president. They probably have a lot to talk about.

so good. Maybe some time out in the sun on da boat will bring some color back.

I think Clinton is that rare breed who can get along with anybody if given a chance.

Personally, I can't stand to be on the same planet as the bushits.
