Is this disgusting or what? Here it is folks, the Bush plan for Iraq...
Edited on Sat Jun-25-05 02:48 PM by Zinfandel
It seems the Rove/Cheney plan in Iraq is to keep the "never ending war" going and expand it to Iran, Syria, etc. (forever?) It makes for huge profits for the oil companies, corporate rebuilding contracts, military & defense contractor weapons, etc... Then, to use the war as an excuse to continue the domestic destruction of ALL social programs, environmental progress, peoples privacy, and to allow an economy going nowhere but stagnate, or worse. As the republican thugs continue their raiding & stealing of our treasury and tax dollars.

It seems obvious to me that the way Rove/Cheney plan to keep this war going is the same way they have for the past two plus years...with these fucking lunatic planned, arbitrary dates....

" Bush said the United States would continue helping Iraqis build a democracy. He said al-Jaafari assured him the Iraqi government would meet its deadline to draft a new constitution. By Aug. 15, Iraq's National Assembly is to unveil the draft of a constitution. A ratification referendum would follow within two months. If approved, the constitution will provide the basis for general elections by Dec. 15."

So we can now be sure Bush will be claiming progress & victory on August 15, 2005 and December 15, 2005...And the lap dog republican corporate media will eat it up and declare such wonderful progress.

So what dates are planned for 2006 and beyond?

I find it ironic and amusing that in his book, Zbigniew Brzezinski, (National Security adviser, in the Carter administration) is pretty much the architect for the current US world imperialism and resource stealing quest. Brzezinski gave the Democratic response to Bush's radio address....

Brzezinski, does indeed slam the facts and reality home though...

"The war has been conducted with "tactical and strategic incompetence."
Two years later, America finds itself more isolated than ever before, the object of unprecedented international mistrust," Brzezinski said. "As a result, we are not as safe as we should be here at home."

He said the war has turned Iraq into a training ground for terrorists and noted that Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, has not been captured. "The violence in Iraq continues at increasing rates and American casualties continue to mount," Brzezinski said.

And it so will continue with these absurd dates of "progress" that Rove/Cheney/Dumsfeld have statistically created to pacify the American people.

And none of this could be accomplished without the complicity of the corporate media.

5. I personally think
with Rove he isn't involved in actual planning. I think Cheney probably goes to him with situations and Rove's job is to get it to where the situation will turn in their favor. He's just a bully. Not a genius who could do foreign policey. Only people who are directly involved in the PNAC plan is the actual PNAC members themselves.

3. And here's how I will answer those stupid yellow ribbons this week ...
"Patriotism and love of country does not demand endless sacrifice on the part of our troops in a war justified by slogans," Brzezinski said.
Thanks for the post. Peace. :)

4. For background, read Naomi Klein's article
(September 2004?) in Harper's about the neocons' economic plans to make big bucks out of Iraq's resources.

No wonder there are insurgents. There would be here if someone tried to do that to us.
