DU'ers Trashing DNC Election Report- You're Doing The 70% Of Blacks
in Franklin County who had trouble voting no favors.

Nor are you helping the 56% of blacks (compared to 28%whites) overall in Ohio who had problems voting.

There is a multitude of damning facts in the DNC report.

WHICH CALLS FOR PAPER BALLOTS.

By discrediting this report, rather than utilizing what it DOES do right... you aren't helping anyone but the GOP.

It is entirely possible to accept this report and run with it... and to ALSO push for more info on DRE's etc.

1. I have never understood
The DU insistence that Ohio=Diebold vote rigging. Diebold was not in use in Ohio in 2004 except in 2 small counties.

If DUers want to fight Diebold, they must fight in the states where the vote rigging happened with those machines.

And it wasn't Ohio.

2. It's not just Diebold; it's the central tabulators and all DRE's.
A state could have not one Diebold machine and still be completely fraudulent: ES&S, Sequoia, et al. ad infinitum.

And it's not the voting machines themselves that are the real problem. As Bev Harris and others have shown, it's the central tabulators and these can be made by any of the DRE makers. I think in OH Triad Corp was involved in the fraudulent tabulation of the votes.

And don't start imagining that it would take a lot of people to pull this off. Fewer than 50 people could have pulled off the 04 fraud. That is, fewer than 50 would know the facts about what was happening. They would have had to have been helped by others but these others wouldn't have needed to know the full implications of letting this technician or that technical support person into the room with the tabulator etc. The exact method will always be in doubt until there are enough whistleblowers and enough people in high places with the integrity to listen and do what they can about this scandal, the biggest scam and con game in American history.

3. I understand all of that
But too many DUers connect Ohio and Diebold, making themselves (and the rest of us) look foolish.

They are howling over the DNC report not addressing Diebold fraud, when it couldn't have BEEN Diebold fraud.

4. Thanks, cryingshame
I totally agree with you. After spending months of my time volunteering in Ohio for the Kerry campaign, I'm very aware of our shortcomings in the election. There is no reason to bash the messenger. We need to address the problems cited in the report.

5. Is this your new daily ritual?
Yesterday you smeared DUers as Flaming Hypocrites about Durbin.

Today it's DUers Trashing and an implied racism to boot.

Why don't you debate those you see doing the dirt, instead of blanket statements about DUers, which is impossible.

8. There's A Huge Number Of DU'ers Engaging In This Counterproductive
behavior.

And this thread has nothing to do with racism except as it's implicit in the DNC Report ITSELF.

Which means you inadvertently made my point for me.

All the many DU'ers trashing this report and discrediting it aren't helping the people in Ohio who had problems voting... and those people were mostly urban and black.

6. DNC report is a good FIRST STEP
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 08:48 AM by annabanana
If it gets any media coverage (iknow, iknow...big "IF", and we may have to do it ourselves), it may be the first a significant number of people are hearing of it.

As more people hear of it, more will ask more questions and we can SUPPLEMENT and AUGMENT the information with everything else we've found out.

for god's sake, don't choke the baby in the bassinet

10. thank you, however...
OK I went there and clicked on "read the full report" which had a list of PDFs for each chapter.

However when I went to these PDFs they appeared to be corrupted or something. Very strange arrangement of words appearing to be "typed over." Can't read it. Would somebody mind checking this to corroborate?
