Interesting stuff.
Did you notice Gregory's response when Frum was babbling about how he's sure that Bush hears about problems in Iraq? He burst out, "Then, he just doesn't do anything about it?" and let loose with a burst of derisive laughter. What a change from the sycophantic Matthews.
Next: the clip they showed of Rove's interview last night, in which he constantly mispronounced the country we illegally invaded "Eye-raq". We've destroyed their country, can't we at least show a tiny amount of respect by pronouncing the name of the place correctly? I really hate these rubes.
Last: It's always interesting hearing the viewpoints of the retired Vietnam-era military guys. At the beginning of the show, Col. Allard talked about the troop numbers there, saying it's "just like Vietnam" when we take ground and then have to return to base and see the same ground overtaken. McCaffery talked about recruitment levels and how the Army and Marines are "fraying" and "can't support the current foreign policy". None of the three they had seem very enthusiastic about this botched-up mess.
I can actually stand watching when Matthews isn't on.
