I don't know, the originals may have had the same content and these may only be photo-enhanced, but they have been worked in some way. This group of people are in shadow, for one thing, but the colors on the signs (all in the same 'day glow' pallet) are quite saturated. That wouldn't be the case under natural lighting conditions. So I had to spend some time in PhotoShop playing with LEVELS and B/C to make my washed out/murky images viewable.

Those signs are actual DayGlo posterboard! BASTARDS!(lol!)
It played heck with my little camera's auto-metering,
and it came out looking very "surreal" in the finished image.

But those ARE the actual signs; the WORDS you see were NOT altered in any way!
