Bob Costas Joins CNN as a Guest Host of Larry King Live
Uh oh, look out, Larry. Here's your replacement.

Bob Costas, one of television’s most accomplished broadcasters and host of HBO’s Costas Now, joins CNN as a substitute host for Larry King Live, it was announced today by CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein.

“We’re thrilled to have one of television’s most outstanding broadcasters joining the CNN roster,” Klein said. “Bob’s quick wit, nimble mind and broad range of interests will engage viewers in the best King tradition.”

5. LOL. You speak the truth on ol' Larry.
Nothing against the guy personally, but you can almost feel him holding back on purpose when you know he could ask a more visceral question.

It's his show, I know, but beneath all the ratings gloss and suspenders, there used to be a good interviewer in there.

4. He's only 3 feet tall and sleeps in a suitcase! (Costas)
But I like the guy anyway.

3. Costas is a smart man. I'm kind of relieved it wasn't Tucker Carlson.

7. well...
Anyone is better than looking at the serpentine King, with his large head, razor-like teeth, and blinking lizard eyes. The man just repulses me, and I haven't even gotten to what a Bush sycophant he is (he bragged on Imus that he voted for him in 2000 - probably did again last year).

8. Costas??
This doesn't make any sense to me.
Is CNN trying to ruin the last show they have that anyone actually cares about?

Costas is a sports guy. What does he bring to the table?

9. Costas' version of "Later" was the best version...
Great interviewer, so I'm very happy about this.
