23. have you no respect for Prof. Darrell West?
Fox's 7/1/03 interview with Darrell West, a political science professor at Brown University: "Howard Dean is probably the most liberal aspirant in this race. it would be a disaster for the National Democratic Party if he turns out to be the nominee.

"Karl Rove would be salivating at the prospect of Howard Dean being the Democratic nominee."

Darrell says it would be a disaster, he tells you, a disaster, and everybody knows, don't mess with Darrell.

5. Candidate X is a Republican.
That's why we must support the only candidate who can win the election: Candidate Y, of course.

Swap any candidate's name with any other candidate's name. Write new story. Repeat.

13. 'Whining' about it hasn't seemed to do any good,
now has it? Did you seriously expect people to just sit back and take it day after day, and not hit back?

16. You know the answer to that
First of all, there's no evidence that Dean supporters here at DU are the sole culprits of anti-Clark posts. Second, you know my position; that one doesn't jump into the mud just because others are there. Let me repeat what I've communicated to you before: I have never posted negative comments about any candidate. That's my standard. No matter how egregious the attacks against Dean have been, or are, I refuse to lash back at the other dem candidates. Would I like to see others conducting themselves in the same manner? Of course.

18. And there's no evidence that I said they were.
But a handful of Dean supporters have been among the most vocal and persistent of the Clark flamers, so it's natural for people to hit back at Dean. This has been especially true in the few days since Clark has declared.

Edited on Sun Sep-21-03 10:06 PM by babzilla
thanks for the link SKwmom.

My favorite characteristic of the site is that it can't decide whether Dean is too "leftist" or if Dean is the corporate media's sweetheart, there is something for everyone to love in one convenient and hideously designed site.

I learned a lot about Dean, for instance, I never knew that:
in the mid-'50s the family built a house on Hook Pond, one of the most wealth-infested towns in America.

Wealth-infested? Hopefully when the Dr. got his medical degree he was able to treat Hook Pond for its wealth-infestation with quinine or something.

I also learned that Dean is:
pulling money from Independent voters, merely riding the crest of the pro-gay wave

Of course I didn't need to go to your link to know that this much is true:

But out in Hollywood all Barbra Streisand and the other high rollers know is that, if gay marriage is your big priority rather than Iraq and national security and all the other peripheral junk, then Dean’s your man. In a way, he’s the first gay candidate, the first beneficiary of a prominent, organisationally effective, big-money gay bloc in the Democratic party. This year, gay is the new black.

Thanks again for the source SKwmom, it is sure to bring many hours of entertainment. Especially for the pro-gay wave of the party.

edit: bold is as bold does

26. Where is our poster at?
Post a one-liner of a question, something on the same intellectual level of "Did your daddy have sex with your mommy, and is that why you are here?," and the poster disappears from view.

Where are you?? Are knitting, or having some Jack Daniels?

27. finagling is the new black
plus, apparently, he smoked a bit O'pot.

Dean declined to fight in Vietnam, finagling for a deferment because of a minor back problem. But within a short time--after graduating from Yale in 1971-- he spent a year skiing and bumming around Aspen, Colorado. While skiing the slopes, he smoked a bit of pot, worked as a dish washer and a concrete pourer, and consumed large amounts of beer.

31. Ahhh...the unfairness of it all...I'll never be President...
I really don't know what makes people want to do this. Sure, the pension's great, but is it really worth it? Have you seen one President who didn't age 10 years in a 4-year term?

Guess I'll just fondly remember my youthful indescretions..

32. Don't ask me

I just keep kicking and quoting it because the site is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. It is bad enough to be good, if you know what I mean.

Perhaps the originator of the site can spare 5 cents, I think they need it.
