So much for democratic nations not creating terrorism,
not sowing the seeds of unrest, not leading us all where we dare not go.

Russia has developed a missile to end all missiles and may sell them to people whom we consider "evildoers".

Venezuela has/is purchasing migs many of which can deliver the sunburn missile, correct me if I have that wrong.

Russia is willing to sell military hardware to Syria.

Many South Americans could care less if 10 stories were gone from the wh (if that were possible)

China is sidling up with Iran.

Canadians are fed up with our bs.

I can just smell the peace that this administration has spread all over the frigging earth, let freedom ring.

PJ-10 BrahMos
India expects to significantly enhance its long-range strike abilities with the BrahMos cruise missile, jointly developed by New Delhi and Moscow. The supersonic missile -- which derives its name from the Brahmaputra and Moscow rivers in both countries - has a range of almost 300 km and is designed for use with land, sea and aerial platforms. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is reportedly considering the possibility of fitting the BrahMos on its Su-30 combat jets. The production will commence by end of 2003 for induction in the year 2004.

The BrahMos, a derivative of the Yakhont, was developed by a joint venture between India's Defence Research and Development Organisation and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyenia. The BrahMos missile is a product of an Indo-Russian joint venture known by the same name. Registered in December 1995, the company was set up as a result of an inter-governmental agreement between Russia and India, eventually signed in February 1998, to design, develop, produce and market a supersonic cruise missile jointly.

India and Russia plan to begin the induction of the jointly-developed BrahMos supersonic cruise missile into their armed forces by the end of 2003. However, according to some reports military officials believe it is several years away from induction into the navy or the air force.

The BrahMos missile is a two-stage vehicle that has a solid propellant booster and a liquid (propellant) ram jet system.

The jointly developed Indo-Russian anti-ship cruise missile, which was successfully test-fired from Chandipur interim test range in Orissa, is a crucial step forward in India's defence efforts. This technological achievement places India among a small group of countries to acquire the capacity of producing cruise missiles. What, however, makes the jointly produced cruise missile distinguishable from others is that it travels at a supersonic speed i.e. more than twice the speed of sound. Almost all other contemporary anti-ship missiles fly at subsonic speed. Its other distinguishing feature is that the Indo-Russian cruise missile is a state-of-the-art product.

2. Most democratic nations
are as democratic as most Communist nations are Communist.

In other words...not at all.

Labels seem to seldom describe reality insofar as most governments are concerned these days.

Corporatist is a much better word imho.

3. Building missiles isn't terrorism
Not that I'm happy about this or anything, but it's not terrorism.

The lie "Democracies don't create terrorism" should go next to "Democracies don't make aggressive war" meme, down the trash can of history.

4. No.... it is not... but after reading about what these other
"democratic" nations are up to.... I am more terrorized than by knowing that 15 Saudis were able to and probably assisted in countering a defense system that spends 400 billion dollars a year on "defense". We are not getting our money's worth and there should be some sort of warranty papers that we can fill out or something.

On a happier note... some congresscritters may be considering the "I" word... what a present to the nation that would be. Perhaps shrub can get an adjoining cell with saddam.

5. I'm watching Noam Chomsky's new documentary...
He talks about the CIA projecting that invading Iraq would cause more terrorism. That's what they wanted.

I was thinking of writing up a 'review' and posting it.. he brings up so many things we need to hear.

6. it took around 5 years to reverse
Edited on Sun Jun-05-05 01:38 PM by madrchsod
many years of both republican and democratic presidents to build trust between the united states and nations that it is everyone`s self interest to find common ground. that has been destroyed by the bush klan and it will destroy us in the future if this lasts for another three years or more. this is why the 2006 elections are so important not only to us but the world.
