1. that's nice
wouldn't need impeachment if not for him. President Gore would not have to be impeached.

3. Don't you think we should put aside all that and come together and
take back our country? Or would you rather keep fighting amongst ourselves?

Sorry. I'll move on. But I still have some bitterness about what led us down this road.

6. That bitterness could be our downfall..
if we let it. Focus that anger in the direction of the current threat and there's no way we can fail.

5. I'm with you here
Besides bu** was selected over Gore. He didn't win a thing and Nader isn't to blame. The ugly bu** judges, got it for him.

7. yeah
it would have been better if Nader had bowed out. He did make the difference. But because he didn't, we got to see the travesty of the "selection" of 2000, which led to the suspicious 2004 election, where even the exit polls were manipulated along with a lot else. So maybe in sticking to his guns beyond political rationality, Nader gave us the gift of seeing how truly bad our election system is and just how far political criminals will go if you give them too much rein. So maybe IF we can turn this around, we might shift the blame from Nader to where it really belongs.

9. You really think Nader is thinking about you or anyone else?
This is all about Nader and no one else.

13. I'm really thinking...
That it gives me :bounce: :bounce: in the pit of my stomach when I hear someone, ANYONE speaking out, and spreading the truth. If G. Gordon Liddy started saying the same things, I would broadcast it far and wide, and perhaps kiss is repugnant bald head in gratitude. (Of course, I would then back away so as not to expose the spot between my shoulders.)

Peace

10. You might want to blame the game too, not just the player
If there were a Majority Rule in place in Florida, there would have been a run-off in Florida because no one in 2000 there garnered 50% of the vote and one more vote. In the second round, many of those Nader voters most likely would've switched to Gore after Nader's elimination, and Gore would've won. If we were using IRV (instant run-off elections), the outcome would've been decided in a second count.

I see people attack Nader a lot, but I don't see as many attacks on the flaws of the system, and if we're going to talk balance here, all I'm asking for is a little equal representation on the issues.

If the system were reformed, then Nader running wouldn't have punished the damn electorate for voting their conscience on the issues. This is what you get when you don't have electoral reform, and that's what the Democratic Party gets for not attacking the problems decades earlier before 2000.

2. I'll repeat too....Screw Nader!!
I would still like to thank the bastard for 2000 let alone for trying to do it over again in 2004.

8. Nader took money and covert support from Republicans in 2000 and 2004.
Remember in 2000 there was no difference in the candidates? Now he wants to impeach those who both benefited from his candidacy and supported him. The only outcome of his candidacy it allows him to rail against those he has empowered.

I will not forget or forgive.

11. Thanks.
He was very good. I had missed it before and would not have seen it. Away from DU you certainly miss a lot but once back on there is always a reminder. I appreciate it.

12. I can't move on when it comes to Nader. I'm pretty good at forgetting
a lot...but I won't forgive players in a few events:

...everyone involved in the impeachment decree on Clinton (including Arianna)

...and Nader along with Sarandon, Robbins, Donahue, and Moore. Michael made up for everything with 9-11. What did Nader do - he turned around and ran again in 2004. Stubbornly, resolutely, stealthily, and defensively.

...I won't get started again on those who voted for the war.

14. I tried to get in on the Dem. line,
tried for 40 minutes...busy the whole time, didn't even hear 1 opinion that I shared.

Had I gotten through I would have congratulated him on his efforts to re-elect the worst president we've EVER HAD.
I would have told him that all this whining is an amusement to the republicans and that the opportunity to correct several callers on the whole 9-11 saddam link is just what his masters at the white house wanted him to do.

In short, FUCK RALPHIE, he helped them get in and now he complains???

He needs a kick in the nuts.
