'a new generation of Americans is making its own sacrifice'-bush, today
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/05/20050528.html

...from bush's radio address today...

Our citizens live in freedom because patriots are willing to serve and sacrifice for our liberty. And on Monday, I will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery in honor of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, a victory for freedom in which more than 400,000 Americans gave their lives. Today a new generation of Americans is making its own sacrifice on behalf of peace and freedom, and some have given their lives.

2. But he was also thinking "thank God when it was my turn to serve my
Daddy could pull strings and I wasn't charged for being AWOL."

4. I doubt that.

I suspect he just figured that not being charged with AWOL was one of his rights.

3. Because soldiers have died in the past
It is necessary to have soldiers die in the present and the future :wtf:

Who was the enemy during WWII and who is the enemy in Iraq?

Freedom does not mean sending soldiers to die!

5. Some have given their lives, & some couldn't be bothered to even give
their full six years commitment to the National Guard that got them out of active duty. One couldn't even be bothered to take his flight physical after this country paid $1 million to train him as a pilot. I'll be thinking that this year marks the--what? 33rd?--anniversary of a chickenshit chickenheart who blew off his country then and is only too eager to send others to die for it now. I hope he someday rots in hell.

6. Just Another Photo Op For King George
Like he really cares who has died and who is going to die for his lies and deception.

8. "sacrifice" is the new word for killing and dying for money.
And, "patriotism" is the same old excuse for the same.

"Patriotism is the most foolish of passions, and the passion of fools." - Schopenhauer
