What Has Bush Come Out For...
...that wasn't a front for a hidden agenda?

He used the "war on terror" as a front for his desire to invade Iraq. The failed attempt to get an amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman was a transparent pre-election effort to galvanize his Christian Conservative base (and it worked). Privatizing Social Security is yet another attempt to secure windfall profits for his financial base -- big business (two rounds of tax cuts in the name of "stimulating the economy" has already brought a boon to these political bedmates.

Has he ever stumped for anything that was purely in our national interest???

5. I can only afford to use coins...
...after throwing down for a tube of Prep. H. I guess I can't relate (although nickles are smaller than quarters, they work better -- no painful ridges).

2. That would be contradictory to his mandate, or the one
handed to him by the people who own him. I wonder if the jerks who voted for him the first time because he offered a $300 tax rebate as the behest of Joe Liberman are wondering why there were no more tax cuts for them?

6. I had a dream...
...where he was a passenger on a short yellow school bus. He was sitting on the right, watching the scenery as the bus was climbing uphill while curving left. I couldn't see who the driver was.

7. Very little. All his backers understood that there was a "real" Bush
and a Lying Sack of Shit Bush. They all believe that since the conservative agenda is unpopular, that it has to be snuck by or forced on us--for our own good, of course. So they all figured that Bush was lying to US--not to them, but to the other guy, and that the other guy would get screwed after the election.

So no Bush supporter is upset with Bush's tactics of bait and switch, manipulating facts, secrecy and downright lies, at first. Then one by one they realize, HEY--Bush wasn't just lying to democrats or liberals or the blue states! I'm as fucked as the next group! I'm not going to let him make stuff up in the hope that I'm not the person he is trying to defraud.

That's how I see it. Bush's supporters know he is duplicitious, and so do his enemies. His supporters think it is a worthy tactic to get conservative things done, but neither side is surprised.
