I have to say this.
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY HATE repukes. I hate them. I hate them all. They have ruined my country. They are polluting my air, contaminating our water, making food inedible, trying to destroy Social Security, ruined our education system, made bankruptcy impossible for the poor people of this land and easy for the rich, given tax cuts to the rich at the expense of our kids, given us the largest deficit in history, stolen 3 elections with evoting machines, started an illegal war, killed 100,000 innocent Iraqis and 1,600 American soldiers because of the LIES they told, they have made torture an acceptable means of getting information, they have turned our country into a fascist state, they have let the religious right wing wacko, nut job Jesus Freaks take over, they have ruined our reputation all over the world...we are hated EVERYWHERE and so much more. I HATE them. I REALLY hate them.

:grr:

19. I am increasingly convinced the republican party has become
the party of the antichrist. There is nothing so despicable or evil that they will not do, and they do not avoid killing people who try to expose their hideous evil.

If they are not the actual antichrist, they are dangerous wannabes.

9. I do too.
I am seriously pondering dumping a "friend" I have known since I was 13 (I'm almost 40). She has always been somewhat difficult, and I find myself hating her because she is a Republican. I now see her more as my enemy than my friend, even though I am sure she would be shocked to know that.

She is an intelligent person in many aspects of her life and should know better, but she has always been rich and I think that is what is coloring all her inane justifications for her stupid-ass positions.

To me, the Repubs have declared war on all that is good in this country. It's time to take strong stands.

Fuck Republicans.

23. Personally speaking, I despise them for the reasons you mentioned...
Edited on Mon May-23-05 01:07 PM by KansDem
But also add to that:

1) I'm paying more for prescription drugs (I take six a day) because the GOP won't permit less expensive drugs to come in from Canada. As far as I'm concerned, every Republican is taking money out of my pocket...

2) My children (daughter 13, son 7) will be in line for the draft if BushCo wants to reinstate it. Although it wouldn't affect my daughter for at least 5/6 years, we must remember Vietnam lasted at least 10-12 years (or longer), and, if left unchecked, Iraqnam will last just as long if not longer...

on edit: Do you mind if I "co-grr?" :grr:

No way...NO WAY...are my children going to be drafted for this criminal war based on lies. NO WAY!

I've already drafted a letter to send to my representatives if the slightest hint of reinstating the draft appears in the media. In essence it reads that my children will not put their lives on the line for Bush lies and oil profits only to have their service record trashed by Republicans (ie, McCain, Clelland, Kerry). NO WAY!!!

Up to now, it's been mostly civil: calls to offices, emails and letters expressing concern, public protests over policy, but when they come after my children, all "rules of engagement" are off and I become ONE MEAN MOFO! :grr:

She said, "No, she still loves him but my Mother is DUMB when it comes to brains or anything that is difficult to COMPREHEND."
Wow...I couldn't believe my niece could think or say that about her own mother. She has lost all respect for her! Same here! I can't believe my sister is so stupid. They just ALL have to be just plain stupid and dumb or rich to agree with any of bush's* agenda.

26. It ain't just Bush. It's every republican senator, congress-person
and right wing representative.

I thought we learned something from Viet Nam. When Clinton was president, I don't recall the threat of suppression toward conservatives. There was never any threat of changing the Constitution.

I'm just an average citizen, but I feel the rage building every day. I fear what will happen very soon. There will be a civil war and it will affect the economy with right wingers refusing services to liberals or vice versa. Even now, I would never take a job working for a repub. I'd rather starve. I won't talk to them if I meet them in groups, I won't help them if they break down on the side of the road. The rage runs deep, my friends. It's not going to be pretty.

we will EVER come together as a country again. It's too late. They have cause way too much damage.

I liked this story from a NY DUer:
He/she was at the protest in NY during the NY repuke convention. The protesters had gone to the park and some lady from some southern state (had an accent) asked a guy for directions to the convention. He/she told the lost conventioneer that since she didn't see the need for people helping other people, he/she (the protester) wasn't going to help her. He/she told the repuke to find Madison Square Garden herself. :7 Love it! That's what they will get from me from now on. NOTHING.

42. I just don't do the 'hate' thing very well.
Also I tend to characterize behaviors I don't like rather than people. I don't like what their leaders are doing to this country, but as for them as individuals, I don't know them at all... I know more than a few republicans personally, and they're not bad people.

It's like when I'm mad at my kids... I don't tell them they're bad... I tell them they did a bad thing... we can't hate each other... we have to stop acting like bitter rivals... we all want what's best for the country and our children... we just have different ideas of what that is...

But every time I see Frist, or Bush or O'Reilly, Coulter, Novak, I think...cancer with a mouth. And this didn't start in 2000. It started when Clinton was president. they immediately sent people to Little Rock to start digging for dirt, ANY dirt they could find. BEFORE he even ran!!!! THAT went on for 8 FRIGGIN' YEARS! "Blinded by the Right" by David Brock and "The Hunting of a President" by Joe Conason went into to great detail of that 8 year witch hunt. The bastards. I HATE them. They go after a man over a damn blow job, yet the idiot-in-chief has LIED about reasons for an ILLEGAL war, has killed thousands of people and he's not IMPEACHED????!!!! Where's the justice? 46. I appreciated your passion
I watched Hillary this afternoon using the "King" word several times. It just seems so unreal that even though most senators know what the right thing is to do, they will not because they are more concerned about their paychecks. 2006 is far far away and lots of damage can be done between now and then.

Media is worse than congress. They know what's going on and they've got their noses up Bush butt.

If the repubs get what they want on Tuesday, I guarantee there will be trouble in these so called united states. They think people are asleep. The rage is intense. I see it every day.

Wonder how many repubs thought they'd be voting themselves a king.

The rethugs didn't make bankruptcy impossible for the poor. They made it almost inevitable for the poor.

They just made declaring it impossible for the poor!
