as long as Nader is a topic again,
where do y'all disagree with him on the issues? I don't mean the "no difference" thing. I mean the issues on which he ran.

1. I disagree on the issue of strategy
Every dollar the Greens have poured into running Nader should have been devoted to winning local seats. I will vote for the Green for any seat below the state AG, unless it looks very close and the Repug is really nasty.

"Think globally, act locally." That is the environmentalist's dictum. The true power to protect the environment lies in the hands of city councils, mayors, and state assembly people, almost all of whom are or are in the pockets of unimaginably conscience-free land developers.

Nader is fighting the wrong fight. He looks like a goofball to a lot of people and seems quixotic to most.

2. I don't really disagree with him on the issues though
I would have liked to have seen him work harder on gender/sexuality/racial equality. The civil rights movement is not over.

However, I understand that corporatism in the government is HUGE and that in many ways it has to be dealt with in order to deal with any other policies, so I understand why he focused so strongly there.

3. that's a fair point on equality.
The wrong conclusions were intentionally reached by a lot of people regarding the "gonadal politics" thing, but it was a huge blind spot, yes.

4. there are plenty of activist and organizations working on gender issues
naders niche seems to be corporatism and its growing influence on how the govt is run and its affect on social issues in this country.
