Democratic Hall of Fame (weekly nominations)

I think with all the scorn, it's easy to forget about OUR heros with in the Democratic Party. I'd like to have a weekly thread where we post nominations for Democrats who stand up to the B*ush administration.

We hear so much negativity about 'democrats' here, I'd like to remember those that fight the good fight.

4. I nominate Wes Clark for running for President..

I'm a Dean supporter, but appreciate his stepping into the race because he wants to serve his country and his fellow man.

I am impressed that he was 'drafted' into the race as well, and stepped up to the plate for his supporters.

Gov. Rod Blagoevic (D) of Illinois for challenging the FDA to prevent the State of Illinois from buying lower-cost Canadian pharmaceuticals for it's retired State employees and teachers! :yourock:

As the saying goes, we get much farther with honey than we do with vinegar.

I wonder if DU would do a spin-off from the 10 Conservative Idiots to include the 10 Democratic Patriots, or Weekly Hall of Famers (whatever sounds best). DU is becoming a pretty reknowned spot and it could provide a little incentive to Dems up for re-election and/or just needing some deserved recognition. There could even be the 10 Weekly Best and Worst Dems. That would be good because it could show who is working for American and who is not.
