Hey, Commander Cuckoo Bananas has every right to choose whomever he wants (he's obviously pro-choice after all!). But it is the great responsible tradition of our nation that the minority has a voice in the senate. Without it, it is merely a dictatorship run by a bunch of brainwashed lockstepping robots. We need the filibuster. The high courts are lifetime appointments. If we are lucky in a few years (or less with the pending impeachment) Commander Cuckoo Bananas will be gone from the WH and maybe some level of honor can be restored to our country and its laws. But the filibuster is necessary to that even after cuckoo is gone, his out-of-mainstream legacy won't live on.

I support the filibusters. They ensure that radical nominees have to go through checks and balances and if they fail, don't get appointed to rule the law of the land.
