Edited on Sun May-15-05 04:00 PM by DeepModem Mom
because of high oil prices. So in W's mind, is he finally seen as a success, instead of a business failure, back "home" in Midland? And is he proud as punch? And are we not under the thumb of the crookedest gang of let-em-eat-cake cronies who ever came to power in the U.S.?

2. "Home" in Midland?
He's never going back there in his life when he's done prezidentin'. He will be in Kennebunkport, Dallas, or hopefully, in a jail cell.

5. This is the big fallacy of conservatives
They say, yes, our town is rich because we have free enterprise and we know how to use it.

In reality, with all those petro-dollars floating around, even a monkey with an abacus could manage that city's finances and still show black ink.

It's pretty hard to LOSE money when you're anywhere near big oil.

Although I recall ONE loser who couldn't seem to make an honest buck with oil companies. Can't recall the name just now....
