CNN poll on international page, I have mixed feelings about....
...this poll. The statement by President Fox is certainly politically inappropriate toward African Americans specifically and other groups in America generally, but how insensitive was his statement to his own Mexican people who are coming to the U.S. illegally for work. I don't know, Fox should apologize to African Americans, but he certainly seems to be expressing what far too many Americans believe and for many openly express. Racism certainly comes in many shapes.

Should Mexican President Vicente Fox apologize for his comment that Mexican immigrants to the U.S. take jobs "that not even blacks want to do"?

1. I don't like the outcome either
It's a very incorrect remark. But then again Condi just made another one, so he is not the only one.

But then again you know how presidents are. Apologize? Fox? Bush? Blair?

5. The illegal immigrants are in the same boat as American workers
It is a first cause issue. Many people in Latin America would not be coming to the US illegally to work if it weren't for the corrupt policies many governments down there have and US economic imperialism as well as other countries kicking these countries under.

Ultimately, these are people just like us doing whatever they can to scratch by. The ones we should be addressing first and foremost are the ones who hold the reins of power that make this all possible. They force American workers and illegal workers to compete with each other in a race to the bottom, and they benefit at both our expense. They divide us to conquer us.

The name of the game is making money beyond everything else, and they're doing it to the detriment of humankind. We should express solidarity with all workers because I believe we ultimately have more in common than not, and we all face the task of putting food on the table, paying the bills, and caring for one another.
