Kids for Democracy

I just got back from the Massachusetts Dem State platform convention. What a trip, too much to digest and report just now, let's just say I'm not going to wash my hand for a couple days having met the likes of HD, TK and CK, as well as several other party illuminaries.

But that is not the point of this post.

I met the most wonderful collection of 12-15 year old kids, they call themselves KIDS FOR DEMOCRACY. The group is an outgrowth of KIDS FOR KERRY. Their focus is learning of and participating in the democratic process. They are developing a website, when up I'll post a link.

After they posed for a pic with Rep. Marty Meehan and verifying with Marty's staffer it had been filed, I suggested to their chaperone that they use Thomas to research the anti K Street ethics bill he is co-sponsoring with Rahm Emmanuel (see prior post, now in the archives).

Kids like these give me hope for the future.
