1. his replacement
news and notes is straight out of the basement of the white house. i have been a dollar a day member of wbez for several years, but i am pulling the plug as soon as i get a chance to write a nice long letter to them. i feel bad. wbez is still a great station. but i can't collaborate in turning npr into a propaganda organ.

3. Ed Gordon let's the show be used as mouthpiece for the WH.
I don't think Juan Williams was ever on the old Tavis show.

6. To be clear: Juan Williams was never a guest host on the old Tavis show.
he was never even a guest, from what I remember.

It was Ed Gordon who was the frequent guest host of the old Tavis show, and he clearly doesn't have the courage Tavis had in terms of telling NPR who he will and will not have as guests now that he has taken over the show.

There are no more guests who tell you how to save your money. I don't think I've heard Cornell West on the show either.

7. well
it was my clear recollection that williams did sub. but my memory is not what it used to be. not sure what that has to do with the discussion, anyway, tho.
i have not even heard the new show that much, as i mostly only listen to npr now when i can't get aar. so i mostly hear it in the car. they actually had someone on yesterday that said 'guns don't kill people, people kill people' 10 minutes is about all i can take, tho. :puke:
these mule f*ers will own everything soon.

9. Williams had his own crappy show on NPR. Tavis only had one guest host
and it wasn't Williams. Actually, I'm not even sure it was Gordon. But it definitely wasn't Williams.
