Why I think Bush wants to privitaze or faithbased everything
Why? Because he's lazy. He doesn't care about education or health care programs or anything that is considered a social program. He makes our public education program crappy so he can try to turn everything private. He's never had to work for anything and the only thing he and his neocon buddies care about is war and making profit and getting the oil. Why else is he president? So he can carry out the PNAC plan and show his dad he's better at it then him (when he really isn't). Also the faith-based programs is a way to appeal to the fundie voters and let them take care of some programs for him and keep them happy. I think it spells distraction.

2. Bush is world corporatist king, not our president
Pat Robertson and Falwell own diamond mines in South Africa. They invest globally and could care less that they've turned the mines into a dangerous child labor enterprise. Being faith-based is only a facade for redistributing the wealth from the worker to the rich.

3. Yes and as the diamond minds things remain very 'colonial'..The Brits gave
us something alongside the colonies ie mercantilism which evolved into capitalism which in essence capitalizes on people everywhere (regardless)..

4. They want to run the debt so high that the gov't can only pay
for defense and interest on the debt. Keep a bogeyman around so that defense always gets major funding. That's one place his cronies get money.
When the other half of government spending goes to only pay interest on the debt there will be no social services. So if the public wants "services" (you know like water or roads or education) they can't possibly turn to the "gummint", so they'll have to turn to "private" sources. Score another one for the Bushies.
Religion? That is to be used as a diversion. To keep people at each other's throats while they steal the treasury. Or put another way, religion will be the opiate of the people. Nice to see someone putting old ideas back to work in new ways.
They are robbing us blind and we (or repuke voters) are begging them to keep it up.
